Sup Mistry,

The texturing looks very nice. If the character was a boss guy in a game, I know where I'd be aiming to bring him down, right in the knee caps with the "ripper" or "line gun"...lol! If you could post the texture sheets (cause you said you want crit on that). close ups would be cool too, but from here the texture does look good.

Here are my texture maps, I'll post a close up shot soon. You can critique the modeling as well

Looks pretty good. Is it just me or is the normal map inverted? (dents popping out instead of in?)

The knees look a little thin and the face could use more detail. Maybe sharpen up your textures a little also. Good start though!

nice character, good modelled and pretty fine looking diffuse texture
are you using crazybump to generate normal map? it looks kinda weird to me
you can enhace specularity of your model more with better specular map, maybe you can leave a small orange color to orange parts of your model, so specular will be orange

Thanks. I do argee the face could be much, much better (i'll learn from my mistakes). As for the normal map, i'm not sure if it "is inverted" or not....

The normalmap might have been inverted in Y, if you created it in ZBrush

there is a small update. I've added in the eyes, and increased the spec a bit more (it's more noticeable on the shoe). And here is the close shot.

That stands out pretty strongly. You don't really want to just throw it into crazybump - it's what's making your normal map look all wonky.

Give this a read and see if that helps shed any light on things.

Thanks a lot for the link ! Now i've got a better understanding of how crazybump works.
Hey guys quick question. I'm in the middle of creating my Hand bones and i was wondering what is the create way to make them .Since the fingers are mechanical and i want a mechanical movement to it. So do i create a bone for each piece of geometry or make them as normal finger bones ? Check out the pic below
