thanks man, imma block the whole map out and have it done then add all the custom content i want to add :P i also would suggest you go buy UT3 it really is and awesome and easy engine to learn. ill be making several tutorials after i finish this map for beginners.

Blocking out your map is definitely something you should start with. This will give you a much better idea of what props you'll need, and how much work it'll take to get it finished. You'll also be able to spot design flaws allot faster, without having to redo whole sections of your environment. Mockup ftw!
From what i can see in your screenshots, all the buildings look very square and equal. I'd try to get that changed. A good example for this is Wesley Tacks map Styx for off limits. The starbucks windows definitely looks best from all the things you posted. It has some nice details in it, and i'm kinda missing that in the other pieces. Especially the wall is missing something imo. Some subtle dirt near the bottom might be enough to do the trick... But for now i'd really focus on getting the layout in order, before starting to work on smaller props cheers J |

Gonna add alot of grim and dirt to the buildings thanks for the crit also going to make 2 cars 1 yellow taxi and a a chevy colbalt to fill the street but thats after i finish with the level itself.
played with the foilage and finsished blocking out the level gonna spend all day tommorow after work layout out the buildings: screenshot with 100% more taper :P ![]() |

That one building looks like it's going to collapse any time now. It's kind of odd looking too. It sort of looks like it was built that way. The building on the left side of the image looks the best.
