First thing that caught my attention is the polygon distribution. There are some places where you can optimize a bit. I've made a drawing for that on the attached file.
The other thing I dont realy like is the texture. I see too many dirt pixels. There is hardly any contrast between the pin on the side of the mailbox and the box itself. The wood where the mailbox is attached too (Not the beam that you stick in the ground, but the small shelf) looks a bit too thin to carry all the weight of the box as well. Did you used some ref pics for this one? Because most of them have a better ballance between the box and the shelf. http://www.mailboxnet.com/mailbox_po...ve_scf_500.jpg |

Updated
I am using a reference image and the base and post are made from metal in the image. I just wanted to go with wood in my 3D version but I see your point about the wood not being able to support the weight (I never these things weighed that much
). I am not going to optimize it anymore though because I don't see the point of adding more polygons when they really are not necessary. Here is the new updated image with metal supports. Please let me know what you think. ![]()

I still don't realy like the textures you use. They are way too noisy IMO. The metal bar (If it's metal now, it used to be wood) that's holding the mailbox looks kinda weird as well. All I see is noise and a color. You might want to check out some tut's about texturing, because the textures could use some work. There should be some tut's somewhere around on this forum
