Lowpoly Palmtree

Hello. I am doing some modelling for different games, and this time i will try out with my first palm. You can probaly see on the picture below, that it doesn't look so great like all your models. Well, i am still learning the basics of all theese programs, this one was made with zmodeler, and i will continue making this palmtree more lowpoly, until i can get it under 300 polygons.

The model is currently about 500 polygons, and uses 256x256 bitmap textures. I use a 10 years old engine, and i render it transperant in a game called Re-Volt.

If you have any critism, please tell me what i can do better instead of just saying it sucks. Here is the list of what i aleready know what i can do better:
- Leaves should be more lowpoly. 2-4 segments
- Trunk should be more lowpoly 4-5 segments
- Trunk must be smaller / leaves must be bigger
- Several leaves should be with 2 sides

You could really optimize your use of uv space there! This could make the textures look better probably. Other than that, a wire could be of a nice help to be able to give you feedback on your mesh.

I used more space for the tree trunk by moving the texture a bit. I am currently working on the Leaves, and right now the new palmtree is 96 polygons. Of course i haven't added all the leaf that is needed, so i can't really say anything yet. But it is more lowpoly than before. Check the first reply in this topic. I've added a new texture & and 2 things more on the to-do-list.

I got good new results with the new palmtree. I did all stuff on the to-do list and i enabled a visual image on the other side of the polygons, so the surfaces now are Double-sided. The tree is now only 120 polygons wich is much more lowpoly than i thought.

Please come with your critism, suggestions to what to do. I appreciate that

EDIT: Render the model by downloading this program
