Most likely. Technically I haven't finished this yet; so I haven't combed it over. I'll look into that, thank you.

In the middle of the buttstock it seems unnecessary to have that oval ring of polys and would prob look just fine with texturing. On the top of the buttstock it seems like you could delete some of the edges that are not connecting to anything and don't seem to be defining the shape of the gun. Mabye have 2-3 edges to show the slope and make sure they are connected all the way around. There is some wierd edge on that handle, but it looks like some kind of rendering problem. Other then that looks very good. Good Work.

I'll put some work into the stock; as I stated in an earlier post; I haven't optimized it; but I will. Thank you.

As for the texture, well...
Your metal is very cloudy and blue, there's a lot of random grunge everywhere, your light source doesn't appear to be defined as there is light from all angles, the scratches are extremely random, your highlights are chalky, the wood looks fake and the burns on it are far too dark. It just looks very fake right now.
Sorry if it sounds like I'm being mean/harsh, but I'll write up some ways to fix those problems in the morning when its not 1 am.

I'll optimize the whole model.
Your harsh crit isn't bad; I take it you're trying to help and we all know that's what I need.
See my problem with skins, is the way I do things produces a certain result(That), but if I ease off on certain aspects like not making everything so extreme; the entire skin is completely bland and boring in my opinion; it just looks like a gray stick with noise on it and some default 3Ds Max lighting.
I guess that's my problem; but if you could help me out here like you said; it would be MUCH appreciated.

It will now combine the base layer of your metal with the photo which creates a more realistic effect

That's what I thought; thank you, I'll try that.
This is a huge help guys!
