since hes not getting much love i thaught id try and drum up some interest by adding some colour to him.
atm im gonna make him all nice and shiney and worry about dirtying him up some later. ATM what i have is the face and the chest ermblem done. the blue is block colour while i try and get an idea for shades.

any comments are elcome. none more so than "thats cool" i could do with a morale boost :P heheh

Warhammer has some pretty wonky anatomy a lot of the time, but your anatomy and scale looks very off for both 40k and the real world. The head is too big, torso is too small, feet are too small, legs look a little weedy, lower leg armor should be beefier, arms are too short (where are the forearms!) Powerfist is too long - they don't stretch over the entire forearm, the heavy flamer looks to be a little too big, the Crux on his shoulder sticks out really far.

the older terminators had bigger powerfists. and noticably tiny feet.
as well as even more wibbly proportions. origionally to make it easyer for us poor buggers who had to paint them (i used to work in one). im glad you pointed out what you did. i think the feet are too big now. but ill leave that up to you guys to decide.

anyhow ::to note:: i added in the halo. it was taken out as im planning on normal mapping this on its own. as i was 88% sure trying to do it in place would cause chaos. i just hadnt finnished the high poly of it so id left it out the render before. now it is. noticably added in above his head

oh PS yeh the crux things getting fixed. one of those " ill do it later" jobs. it was made like that so it would normal map better. never moved it back :P thanks

hmm im beginning to think people here dont like me
lol cmon guys? is thios really that bland?

ok here wa go. 3 guesses to pick the chapter here guys. (and no its not the blood ravens).
im not sure but i think the powerfist is too small....

anyhow. heres the update. mostl;y just blocvking in colours. obviously the head is a little more detailed but a LONg way from done.
the terminator symbol on his shoulder needs alot of extra work. im leaving that for no while i get the main parts textres. im going to have a black and white chevron idea going on over the powerfist. not sure about the flamer yet. toying with the idea of remaking the flamer like the more modern ones, as they look alot cooler. but ill tackle that when i get there.

anyhow here we go

No one's replied because warhammer is one that gets done a lot and usually pretty badly.
And the renders you're giving make it extremely hard to comment on the model. Where's the straight up screengrabs? Where's the wireframes? Don't bother with rendering, just hit printscreen and crop it.

If we can't see your model well enough to crit it, we won't bother.

His feet are too big and his lower leg armor isn't beefy enough. The pose feels wrong, usually they have a sort of hunched look. I'll also say that the face/head is way too long. It's really equine at the moment, the terminator's faces are much more compact and powerful looking, sort of like a big cat.

Old terminators had different proportions than the new terminators, true, but you don't really match either set of proportions (and the new ones look better than the old ones, so use them!)

thats a bit more like it.

Talon: yeh the hunched ones are the newish ones. the old ones were known as the hip thrust models. because they all look like they are poised to do one :P
i flattened the face ALOT from the origional shot, you still think its off? ill post again in a bit with it changed again.
also, how are you having a hard time making things out? ill post up screen garbs but there is very little difference between the 2. but if you think itll make a difference ill post screengrabs from now on. also ill put a wireframe in my next post.

ghost: yeh i know but id say barring the head and the feet its alot closer now than it was. do you not think? im going to scale up the lower leg armour again. and redress the foot problem.

Geo: yeh this is the old school flamer :P i was thinking of doing the new flamer for col points.

All: the reason im using this guy is its because i did a high poly model of this guy a while back, just wanted to make a lower poly version. i may well make another of the new ones. im not sure though. ill see how this guy goes.

heh i think that covered everything. ill update soon. thanks
