(Recreating Poop's) Naruto

Hey all, I just finished this character. Took me about 4-5 hours to do. If no-one points out anything I need to change, I'm off to texture it It's 1030 Tris (622 Polys)

can you show us a shaded render?

model is quite nice, although I think you can cut down on the polycount a bit, there seem to polies on the chest area that dont define any shape at all, maybe you can loose those. The amount of polies in the arms appears to be larger then in the legs, so maybe you can find a balance between the two?

Would be cool if you got this model under 1k

Always give credit initially when you do that, and remember it can only be a learning piece (not something you'd want in a portfolio or used for a mod).

I'll admit i have watched at peoples wireframes aswell to see their techniques, but only form a distance and try to just work it out in my own design, but an exact copy like this isn't something i think you'll learn a lot on. I can imagine you going back and forth all the time alt-tabbing. You should just look at the meshflow and use his techniques into one of your own designs and not just do an exact copy. But for a very first character it might not be a bad idea to try this i guess.

So what can i say about this model, probbly notihing, nice work poop i guess

You could even just use this mesh as a base and add some armour on there or change the hair or clothes a bit to make it more unique

It is a good learning experience but its the same as people who post models they have made by following along with a modelling DVD, people will find it almost impossible to crit and offer advice which I'm guessing is the main reason you posted.

I remember somone posting the Joan of Arc model on a forum before and getting flamed like hell. If you post anything that has been done before, especially by someone as well known as Ben Mathis, then its going to get spotted

this post is not having a go at you, just trying to be constructive
