At-at
This is a model for a friend's university project.
Started modeling this afternoon and I would say it is 90% done. I'm using the references that were posted on this site a while ago. Thanks to whoever posted them My limit is 5500tris and the model is currently 5200. I realise that the AT-AT has been done to death, but any comments would be good. I have until Thursday to finish the model and texture so speak up folks.... ![]() |

Yeah looks good proportion wise, the only thing I would say is it needs some optimizing, which I am sure you were gonna do anyway.
I guess you used symetry so you could get rid of the weld line. And then on the actual body, towards the front I cant tell what that one edge loop is doing from the shots here. Is it beveled in? Other then optimizing it looks great, texture that sucker! |

Nice to know I got the proportions down OK. It fits the references I was using but I thought that maybe the head was a bit small but I'll leave it now.
retardedmonkey - I took that extra loop out, I'm not actually sure why it was in there in the first place, well spotted, thanks. As for the centre line I'm just mapping half of the model due to the time constraints and mirroring it over so I'll need to leave that in there. Pankake - Thanks, I love these things too but they have to be the most useless vehicle ever invented The model is finished at 5220tris, there is nothing much added - just got rid of a few Ngons, so not much point posting an update picture.
