Doom Creature
Polycount: 4.460 Triangles -
Texture Size: 2k - Based on the concept by Steve Winston from Doom: The Movie - Rendered in Realtime in the Cryengine 2 - Need crits on this one, what do you think so far? I know the anatomy has a lot of mistakes, but please also criticise me on that one please. More WIPs can be posted if needed. _________________________________________________ ![]() ![]() |

The overall piece looks very nice, nj there, but if you look closer at the high res sculpt some issues can't be ignored i think... I'm not a character artist myself, so take this with a grain of salt, but i think what's bothering me the most is the lack of convincing muscles. They all look a bit random, which could work, but from what i've heard it's better to stick with human anatomy if you want it to look convincing and real... (or at least partially).
Some construction shots and a texture sheet would come in handy for comments on the texture if you care... cheers ![]() |

Thank you all for your feedback.
@doylle: Thank you. You are totally right, the anatomy should be more human-like and that was my attempt ![]() I´m working very hard on my anatomy-skills at the moment and I think in this stage its hard to fix mistakes i´ve done. The learning I had in the last years is: Get shit done! I think I´m going to finish the character as good as I can and then i´m moving on to the next character which probably is getting better. But thank you all again I´m trying to apply the feedback you give me as good as I can. btw: I got a little bit away from the original concept and made some other stuff which I found cooler. Here the textures, wireframe and concept by Steve Winston. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
