Hey Sascha,

thanks for the feedback. I agree with that, I´m gonna try something on that one maybe with the texture or the light. But on the light I need to play anyways...

looks ok yeh, though i think screengrabs from ur 3d app would be better if youre lookingto recieve crits, cryengine has a habit of making everything look ultra sexy. Which is fair enough for a finished piece, but if you want crits you should present it in its bare bones so to speak.

Also is it really 4.460 triangles, Or is this a typo and you mean polygons? in which case it would be around 8,920 triangles.

As for crits that i can see, all of which come from looking at the wire - The topology is a problem for me, there are areas that have dense amounts of quads (the outer leg) compared to areas with far less quads (the rear leg) that should perhaps have an equal spread.

The knee joints are also lacking the topology that is required for them to deform properly, the knee joints feature edges that are running diagonally across them which is something that will lead to problems when they bend on closer inspection.

The diffuse map looks nice though, nicely unwrapped and textured. Post some screengrabs of the monster so people can have a better look at it

Good luck with this, room for improvement but looking good so far!

Yow, even the diffuse only looks awesome. Funny, I've just been playing Doom 3 lately.

I always love beasty creatures! I think I'll try to make one for my next model. It wont be near as good as this. Great work.

chris89: Thanks very much. Would you make love to my model as well?

AlexanderSmith: Thank you, it has been my first self-painted texture. Now I need to learn how to improve my normalmaps, because you see no difference between the texture with normalmap and without em

JudgeMagister: Thanks man for your feedback
