Good work so far!
The brick should not be shiny at all I think, but that's not a problem to change for you for sure Looking forward to see the 'town' in the engine!

Thanks for the comments guys!
Its not crazybump that makes things shiney though as that generates normal maps, its the specular maps, i've tuned them a little and removed all but a hint of shininess (which will be barely noticeable in engine) I've now pretty much finished this, really pleased as i powered through and have done about a weeks work in just two days! Here's some renders, i'm on such a tight budget for time that small nit picks will probably fall on deaf ears lol, but feel free to comment/crit/praise. I have been working hard on my report lately but in the eves ive devoted the hours to making the 3D stuff for the final level, its coming on and there's quite a bit that ive done over the last few nights, but thought i'd post the latest thing i've done and get to the rest later if people are interested.
I made the low and high base last night as well as the uvs last night and tonight i sculpted and baked normals and ambient occlusion for everything, still very WIP and there are things to fix in the normals etc but am pleased: ![]() Comments and Crits welcome |

Hey Zues,
Just a little crit on the windows, all your windows have there curtains closed, right? Well they all have the exact same curtains, some colour and pattern variantion would be nice. Everything else looks really great, im amazed out how much work you have done, Keep it up!

Thanks Miles, yeh that bugs me a bit too, but the texture count was creeping up and i decided to leave it as just the one for now, i may change that at the end, or just for the Max renders perhaps. I've not posted most of my stuff, just this latest piece, its been kinda cool though as ive been making/researching environment art everyday i can now make stuff really quickly
