I think it’s going to be too small for CTF.

Hey all. Got some basic textures down and a few models in the map but I am posting to get bit of help with pillars. I have a shitty looking one in the screenshot below can anyone give me a few tips on how to improve the texture etc or is anyone interested in developing one for the map. Its actualy hard to get much on walls and pillars for subways.

Made a basic vent and loaded it into the level which looks quite good but I will post an update at the weekend.

The scale still feels very big, everything seems far to large than it should be, compared to the train and player. Id suggest messing around with that first.

Can we see a floor map of the place? Just to see all of the ways around this map. Id suggest adding some lighting before going onto textures. Plus also add detail bsp before texturing, this can be a great way to quickly texture your map.

Yea I agree some stuff looks a bit big. Not going to add any more textures at the moment untill I get that all sorted out.

I will try and get a better layout type thing sorted out but these should give you a good idea;

For reference have a look at this movie: Kontroll The entire movie takes place underground in a subway system, the Bulcsú I believe. Really inspiring environment.

Well sarge, you need a really dirty bathroom style tile texture, some tiles should broken or even missing and some should be on the ground. Also, you need to do some lighting first, fullbright is ok for blocking out but I really can't look at a fullbright map when I'm mapping. Think where you need your lights or where you would love a shadow and where the light should come from and if it's still realistic. You have to detail a part of the map than and move on. Some people do it in passes like, they detail the map, than go over it again, and again, and again. But that's personal.
Also, play max payne 1 again. The 2nd level is in a subway, maybe have a look there. Buy I think you should make your own textures for this map because UT isn't really realistic (as far as I've seen the maps myself)

Good luck!
