Just keep trying. What I use to do is copy and flip the other half. Don't overflow detail on seams.
Can u maybe post a render with a white background, it's a bit dark atm.

In a space sim an asteroid would be pretty small I guess, so maybe you should rethink your definition of "low-poly". Looking good though.

You could try creating another different set of UV's, then bake your current texture to the new UV's, allowing you to paint over the seams easily in photoshop. Kind of like using the offset filter when making a tileable texture.

Sorry if the above doesn't make too much sense, I'm not too great at explaining things

Anyway, the asteroid looks great

Easiest thing you could do is just slap a square texture over it.

Create the square texture and go here.
3D Millennium - Tutorial Making A Seamless Satin 3D Texture in Photoshop
Step 5 - 7 apply to you lol. dont forget to download the plugins.
