The original plan was for a rock climber, but I'm going to move away from that and end up with something of a Lord Bowler-esque character (i.e. going to nab his race, back-mounted sawn-off shotty and confederate trousers) and a bit of Fallout 3 thrown in. Generally a survivor, someone who can take care of herself.
Bit of an odd mix of stuff, I guess :P |

how big will her boots be? will they cover everything upto the cuffs of her jeans?
also, did you add a bra or am I seeing things? (personally I dont think survivors in fallout 3 type situations have access to such support technology, its being end of the world and all) :P Looks solid though, how did you make the clothes? in modo or a mesh extraction in mb? ALSO! good luck finding a job, I hear the course is changing a bit... Still... well we all know what goes on :P |

For the clothes, I pulled out a lowish subd of the mesh to modo, imported the original basemesh and simply cut out top and trouser shapes from it. Then beveled them out and made sure they didn't intersect her body. After that, I just imported the clothes basemesh into mudbox as a new object and sculpted them
![]() And yes, I added a bra. I'm not sure on boots, yet. I might give her proper big jackboot/combat boot type things or I might go more for much smaller running or climbing shoes. Boots are probably more suited if you think about it logically but I'd like to show as much skin as is reasonable, just to show some anatomy and such. |

Mudbox is really cool, really I've been using Zbrush for some months though I'm still not an expert, far away from this I'am.
Now, I'm learning Mudbox and get a lot of fun ! I don't know why, but I find it easier to sculpt in mudbox than Zbrush, perhaps not easier but there is something I can't explain with the sculpting tool which make me think it's easier. ![]() Yesterday, I started sculpting a head, a crazy guy, I'll perhaps add something on his head like a big parasit hung on the head and sucking his brain something like that I started from the base head from Mudbox. By the way talon is there a way to make render in Mudbox, Because I'm all the time taking screenshot as I don't see how could we do a render, and find nothing in the doc... I hope, you won't mind if I ask you how did you do the clothes of your character !? I guess they are base meshes you hidden while your were sculpting the body or is there away to create mask as Zbrush and extract the area unmasked as Zbrush does with its subtools !? Anyway, hope to see a bit more of your project ![]()

Well, as I'm really new to sculpting heads I thought I wouldn't go in to the minor details and simply sculpted out the bigger shapes.
Nothing too intresting I guess.. Just thought I'd atleast show there's no Jar-jar binks this time ![]() ![]() Also took some time to experiment a bit with the material and lighting settings.. think I might've made it a bit messy tho' ![]() Cheers!
