Crazy stuff, just to add to all of the pressure! - will be watching this thread intently.

Love that dead flesh look it has going on, pale splotchy skin and lifeless eyes. Inspired.

Awsome, this is going to be great, no doubt. In matter of facts, i just bought a book of Keith Tompson just a couple days ago, and it also had this drawing in it. (Along with other awsome pieces). I realy look forward to see this grow...

Thanks guys, hopefully I can make the model half as good as Keith's concept

Ok guys, I've been working this weekend on it, in between certain people forcing me to play TF2. This is what I have so far, I'm laying out the base mesh at the moment. None of the details are "finished" just rough lower count stuff for now to figure out how it will all work together. The organic parts of the mesh are still super super simple, I will begin to work on making that zbrush ready once I finish the tech parts.

For most of the cockpit I tried to use as many details as I could see in Keith's concept. Either it was to dark in certain places to see clear details, or it wasn't shown...so its a bit of my own stuff in there

CLICK THE PICTURE!

looking sweet. not sure if I just missed them, but will there be displays in the cockpit?

noticed that the leg space seems a bit too short in the model. might be worth taking another look at it.

If you keep this amount of detail up throughout the project its gonna be nuts!

I agree with weasel about the leg space. I'd also make it a bit wider ( scale inwards the circular thingy between where your legs would go ).
