thanks
I am using zbrush 3. I use 4 different brush, flatten, move, standard and pinch.
I used max for the basic shape and then imported it into zbrush 3. From there i just used the standard brush to get the basic forms and then on the edges I would adjust the BRUSH MOD to 10-15 or even more, you can see that setting once you click on the BRUSH to the upper left and its at the bottom of the box that pops up. So once you adjust that I go over the edge and it starts pulling the polys toward that edge to make it sharper. I also like that setting when i cut away the polys by holding down the ALT BUTTON , because it will cut it at a sharp angle to get some nice shapes. I suck at explaining the process. hOPE THAT HELPS. ![]() |

Wow thanks, (shows how much I know about modeling) when I wanted to learn some of the basics a while back, a tutorial I found on the internet said that a poly contains 2 tris, and the tricount is the number of poly's doubled. Learning somethin' new everyday. |

Polygon literally translates to "many angle(s/d)" (poly = many, -gon = angled).
So a quadgon (quads) has 4 sides and a trigon (tris or triangles) has 3 sides, in the same way that a pentagon has 5 sides and a hexagon has 6 sides, etc. |

Man have I been in the wrong boat or what? Maybe I should stick to working on 2D stuff and let you boys with the 3D know-how do what you do best
![]() Makes sense, just wish I could have learned that way back when, instead of looking idiotic now. Ha, thanks for clearing up, Talon. |
