Ah, yeah, the reason I have that texture on the spec is because it was also on the diffuse before, and when I removed it from the diffuse, I didn't take it off the spec. I completely agree, though, that texture doesn't belong. I did a 512x512 just because I wanted to be able to texture on the ingredients and nutrition facts and such and have it be legible.

Yeah I know what you mean, Glynnsmith. I’m planning on making a little “stand” for it, which is going to look like a beach before sticking it in my portfolio. I’m also going to adjust the background for the final render.

this week I have been mostly learning Zspheres, haha

me and a couple of guys from work are all learning Zspheres in Zbrush this week in our spare time. heres my concept and progress so far. I am really liking this approach as it saves a hell of alot of time in making your base mesh within Zbrush but it does take alot of tweaking to give your model shape. this has probably taken me about 4 hours so far but im learning as I go

Crazyfool you have a great drawing style consider me envious. hopefully you can translate that into your sculpting.

Anyways here is my spaceship. Imported into unreal just as a test. I barely started on the textures. Unwrap isnt even complete.

very nice laughing_bun - are they just basic UnrealEd diffuse+normals+spec material nodes - or something special?
