@ ben: lovely work again. His head sculpt looks great, can we get a close up on that?
![]() @ bb0x: sweet . I dig the proportions. If anything at all, i'd try to give his wrists a bit more definition. atm it's almost as if his figers are attached to his arms (especially on the 3rd shot).@ Armanguy: Aah, colorvariation and specular, nice... (is that max or unreal?) |

I've found that sharp edged creases work a lot better in nmaps. If they turn out to be too sharp its easier to blur them down in photoshop than it is to try and tighten them up

Revisited an old model of mine. Redid the unwrap and made a new texture for it.

Ben: Looks fantastic, son. You'll be as good as me, yet! I've just noticed a possibly error in the back view - the belt / harness strap that runs from his low-centre back to his hip intersects his side pouch thing. Your cloth looks especially nicely handled, tbh
![]() Fleistad: The material looks nicely defined, but you could probably benefit from displaying your tanktrap on a slightly lighter BG. Atm it looks 100% black. I'd normal go for about 80% black, so it's nice and dark, but you can still make out the silhouette easily ![]() BBox: You scare me! Not bad at all for a "learning" project. With your 2D skills, I can't wait to see your ZBrush work once you've mastered it. Keep on, dude. Penis Colada / Zinklemesh: Not sure your specular needs to be so noisy/cloudy - I could imagine such for the unpainted/untreated aluminum, but for the part that's printed, the specular is usually kind of constant. I'd also hazard that 512* is a bit too much for a prop of this size. Other than that, it's not a bad effort. Dunno why you need a second forum account to post this. |
