Eotech 552 holosight. Hopefully this will be sitting on top of a Steyr SPP by the time Modern Warfare 2 and its mod tools come out...as you can see there are still issues with it...most obviously the part where it slides onto the rail is way too thin. That's going to require some work on the panel though The text on the panel is actually cut in, its not booleans or floaters. That took ages.

hi blenderhead,
looks great, although very ambitious. since this is some of the smallest parts of the weapon and it has already so much detail in it.
perhaps some detail will be lost, when crunching the whole normalmap to a 1024px texture.
and perhaps use even more angled corners instead of 90°, to get more depth information into the bake

anyway great hard surface modeling!

Thanks aphexx, great advice I'll definitely work on those 90 degree angles at the time of the bake. Cheers.

@ Stellan; That is beautiful. I feel like going on a trip to Italy now.
The little sticky in the window is a very neat detail btw.

Oh yeah, and the wires looks very clean too. Great work there.

Ah, but remember it's the sight for a gun in an FPS game - the player will spend a LOT of time staring right at the back of it.

Just a pillar, maybe for a little subway scene if I'm not too lazy.

This was my first try on the Marmoset Engine, really nice tool.
