you're using shadows there aren't you?
put those shadows along the lantern's thicker edges to simulate lighting. right now it casts some shadows on its base, pretty odd for a light-emitting object no?

I'm not sure if they like you talking about that kind of thing armanguy.. (at least there was one big studio I playtested at and they were a bit like that...)

Bond, I like the lettering, but I'm not sure about the base, looks like a bird feeder...

Damn man, congrats. I see the studio is located on Granville Island even, that has got to be one of the most beautiful spots in all of Vancouver, I absolutely loved that place! Seems like exactly the kind of studio i'd enjoy working at.
I'm wondering about the art test as well, don't think it's that confidential, as they put the entire test specs on their site?

I don't think it's that much of a big deal as you can view the art-tests on their website

Hi, this is my first post.

I'm working on a remix of a new Warhammer 40K character.
I'm trying to nail the head at the moment whilest testing out a New-Gen character pipeline I'm developing.
I love the detail 40K characters have going on and noticed all the good work Alchemist101 has done with his Tau. (Props to you)

Well here's the high res using zbrush and poly painted.

Here's a glimpse of the low res mesh - hopefully this gives you an idea of the base models topology etc.

This is my first real go at zbrush, crits welcome!

Cool stuff, Chris, interesting looking beast. I look forward to seeing the sculpt

Reminds me (vaguely) of the Puppeteers from Ringworld.
