Mac10

Kicking off the wip forums with a high poly mac10.... haven't touched it in a month due to *many* things

Specs are rather next gen, aiming at 8000 polies.

I remember the discussion about the horrendous polycount for game weapons ^^. But you know I also agree them . Looks great. I hope to see a texured version soon. It would be cool if the belt moves with the characters movement.

Worked on it a few hours, and the count is c. 5k right now. Have more then enough polies left so I'm not worried

Thanks for the comments guys...

nice. The modeling looks very clean

I like how you included the little belt/strap thing, you never usually see details like that on game models. Should look great when you get it textured

Yeah, nice model, pretty clean (some poly wastage here and there) but overall nice. And yes, extremely insane polycount for a weapon (even for first person).

There's some usless edges at the back of the gun, and there's no reason to connect the bevels on the side of it. Otherwise it looks decent, although the cylinder part on the grip is too high poly and sticks out too much. I'd say 8000 is excessive for a Mac10 - it's an extremely blocky weapon.
