Suzuki Swift

For which Engine - none
Current Polycount - 4688
Max Polycount - 5000
Texture Size - n/a
Description of background information on piece - My first piece for a while since my laptop melted. Aiming for around 5000 tris. Need to do the front and rear lights then optimise. Should easily be able to do this with 312 tris. No interior for this. Just a practice piece. Possibly use it in my portfolio if its deemed good enough.
Where are you looking to receive criticism - General modelling, poly usage and distribution, anything related to the modelling phase.

Crit away please.

Hey man, nice job I have to say. can't crit anything else but the fact that you can safely lose an edgeloop from front to back. Also, i'd recommend you do a really simple silhoutte-interior. would make it seem all the more complete, and you don't have to texture that.

Thanks man. That loop in the middle is the obligatory symmetry modifier loop
I wasn't planning to do an interior as this is really just my first piece to get back in the swing of things and remember how to model after a few months out. It was a bit tricky getting the hang of it but its like riding a bike, once you know how, you never forget ! Its still very messy and not too pleased with some parts but i'll work on them.

Well, you could tidy it up a bit here 'n there sure, nothing serious i think, but I can't see the side very well.
But I don't mean the symmetry loop of course, now you have 8 rows next to each other for the hood and roof, you could do it with 6 I mean. Really won't be very noticeable, you might disagree but my carmodeling-instinct tells me it looks a tad too heavy there
And you should just do that interior, if you want I can show you some wires how i did this on 2k poly cars ?

Oh and also, for bonus-points, model the inside of the front lights!

At the minute I don't plan on texturing or adding an interior, although I might come back to it at some point and do those. Please post any thoughts you might have on this piece.

Looks good, but I'd go and save some poly's here and there so you can fix that ugly smoothing around the doorhandles.
Too bad you're not texturing btw, really can't call it complete without that, and once it's unwrapped the texturing is not a lot of work anymore.

Here's a screen on how I fixed a similar doorhandle, was a tricky thing, but this works absolutely perfect:
