Here's some fatty am working on. Started work on that one a long time ago, it's a lower priority project which is barly updated but I'd like to finish it...someday. It's a doomish/quakish styled fat bastard on mechanical legs and with mecha arms and a lot of cables. I'll first work out the low poly version and try to detail it later.

Here's some normal mapping test. ~357000 Tris on the left, ~3000 on the right side.

one more tonight, another 512, applied to a couple cylindars and a plane, max viewport, 2 lights in scene.

If I can be happy enough with a few more of these I'll put together a scene and how-to.

Chris your latest props are great! Nice usage of normal color and spec map. I'd suggest to darken the pipes a little, to get some more contrast and maybe change the amount of specularity for them.

Seebear, your model looks good! Looking forward to see it textured. Nice work on the normals so far.

Xanthi nice Humvee you've got there. Are you going for an interior too?

Thanks Zortech.

Here's another lunch quicky material. This time it's a grate! Diffuse, Spec, Normal and Opacity, all 512

That looks pretty good Holden... but it doesn't look like it's tileable?
Maybe it's not supposed to be though. And in that case it looks great.

It looks great in the other case too, only that it won't tile very good

It's meant to lay loosely placed. As though it could be grabbed and picked up as opposed to a long tiled out piece (like an actual grate). I envision it placed off to the side of a main walkway with a light under it for a nice effect. Nevertheless, a tiling version would be quite easy.
