very nice texture on this, and cool design!
render makes it look really hot, hope to see it as hot ingame!
Maybe some blue glow in the render would have been nice, where the blue lights are
great work anyway

Cheers, dudes. That second guy is giving me absolute hell with the exporter plugins. Had to restart his animations about 3 times now. Still not textured him yet and a deadline tomorrow night. Gah

Werd: I kinda wanted his suit to look pretty perfect. He's a bartender in a very high class hotel/casino.

Wesley: Hey, that's looking class, man. I do agree a bit more oil (especially around the bottom where the winch slides along) and dust build-up would probably look a bit more used and settled in it's environment, but it'll do fine without it :P

@ wesley: Very cool, absolutely. But way to clean in my oppinion. Aren't these thing supposed to be dirty. With oil, dust, smear, etc. those extras would then beg for a nice specularity map, which would make it even hotter! My 2 cents...

@ Werd: Very cool, like both the design and the texture, to notch!

Ecks's awesome model from 04, has lots of detail considering it's a milky model :P

I'm chopping the maps up (not done yet), but it's gonna be like 10 maps or so for HL1 goodness :P

100% diffuse goodness ;D

On the top of the slide I think you could've tried to smooth out the curve in it (where the flat part of the sights meet the curve) - it kind of shows off how low poly the model is at the moment.

Awesome, Millenia!
I have to ask, how do you come up with those great bases like that? Got any tutorials for making it?
(Not the dodging and burning, just the plain, gray and grungy base)

Hey some really nice stuff in this thread lately. Talon could you please post the texture flat for that character's head??

I've been working on this guy to create normal maps for my low poly anatomy model....

Eh, sure. It's a bit wasteful, I'm sorry to say.

I'd have another look at your character's shins, btw. They seem a bit short. The distance from my heel to my knee is the same length as my entire thigh.

cheers man. Yeah I know what you mean about the shins. I was using the freedomofteach references which are meant to be anatomically correct but they dont look it.
