The main part of the gun just has a generic base applied in that first picture. I cleaned up the buttstock and made it more like my normal synths. Also, don't blame me for the model thickness.. not my model ;P
That looks a lot better, woodstock (lol?) looks a bit iffy though, can't put my finger on what though.

almost done.... needs more tweaking

looks pretty good in farcry. Having a little fun with photoshop aswell. As if that isnt the understatment of the year.... im having a blast toying around with it in engine.

Well.. I'm still very new to this thing ^^;
But I'll take my chances at posting a couple of things I'm working on =)
First, a crate! Truth is this is probably my first "real" model, as I didn't use a tutorial to make it :P

It's extremely simple, I know ^^;

Other one is a Explosive barrel of sorts, containing Unobtanium. Made it today, my second model

It's not as horribly simple as the crate ^^;

In either case, my biggest problem is texturing, don't really know where to begin and I'm not familiar with the do's and dont's yet, but that's why I came here! Too learn more =)

Would like some comments on things I could/should change and such and maybe some help with where to start on making a texture

Just a small practise model that I did in the last hour or so, with 512^ normal, specular and diffuse maps. It would have a reflection map as well, but I had difficulty getting it working with the DirectX shader in XSI.
