SnipaMasta: you’ve got some weird style mixing going on there that doesn’t meld together well on the kiosk. Example: bulky rusted metal base attached to a thin plastic laptop monitor and keyboard. Also, why would the base be thick and protective (as well as clearly taking lots of damage), but have a huge open face for all the delicate interior pieces?

If you put a removable faceplate to cover the bottom circuitry, and change the monitor case to match the base piece’s material and roundedness to edges you’d be set.

little project. Just have to work on the details a bit more.

*edit* calling it finished for tonight ... got the sticker added.

I know it's only a prop, but now you have added the stickers you can see how really low poly it is. Perhaps up the sides by 2. (It looks like a 6 sided cylinder). A distance shot would be fine but, a close up would show how blocky the sides are.
Still nicely done IMO.

I know what you mean. I was thinking of doing that anyways and using the first posted one as a lod and then making another lod for further away.

I've been just dinking around with some of my world textures and their normal maps. Boredom ensues!

Been playing around a little today. Saw a cool picture when i browsed around on Warhammer online related items and felt like doing something with it. Anyway, i know i haven´t done that much to it. I just felt like making a model that could suit it.

Anyway, i hope it´s not all that frowned upon to do this. It was all just for fun and games. Didn´t have the energy for anything major and "unique".

Here´s the picture ive been talking about. I guess it´s EA mythics design.

Here´s the current version. crappy dark render i know but yeah. Better than nothing perhaps. It´s 400 tris and 2 x 512x512. (Color and Specular). I haven´t used 1/3 of the uvspace yet. Im saving that for the back.

The front texture-design is not my work. I´ve tweaked it a little sure but still. I didn´t draw it. Credits go to the kick ass artist who drew it.

PS: This little experiment has shown me the true power that lies in specular and colormaps.

Oink: Don't make it not round. In other words, keep the original shape.
