Don't forget Zbrush wasn't meant for 3d model detailing. But with version 3 they sure made it allot better for model detailing

Thanks for the comments and crits Glynnsmith. Wanted to keep this around source specs and just went off the barrels in CS for a guide. Good call and putting in some metallic scratches. I think I'll go ahead and do that. Most of the references I checked had all rust no metal but it would enhance the look.

Texture was done at 512x512 and looks decent in ps. I'll take a look at my render settings and see what I can do to get a better crisper shot. I agree it blurred a bit in the render.

I'd like to keep on with that environment and build it up to a full set and may still do that but for the time being I need to do some urban stuff. Local studio here is looking for an enviro guy and they mostly do realistic military FPS work.

well, I guess I can show it to yall

Working on my game's main menu. this is an actual ingame shot so tha background is an actual level. I plan to add some more interaction, sound and rain and such.

NeoShroomish, if what you meant was about model oriented was the whole 2.5 pixal thing. Then yeah it's still basically the same, like alchemist said, theres a rapid UI that lets you work comfortably with your model. Other than that, still same old zbrush, I prefer using the classic UI though.

Hey what's that Fragger ?! Tell us about the game!

Thanks, Its a free standalone game, you can find the website at http://www.xperimentgame.com as you can see there are alot of un textured models that need to be uv mapped and textured, anyone I am looking for a dedicated team member that can help me as I currently am developing the game alone which is a littlebit much to do, hehe

I got bored today so decided to model a face to get some practice in. It turned out pritty good. Only took me like 2hours which isn't bad for a face.





I have been working on some custom Supreme Commander Units as well, but they are in the very early stages of texturing.



oh and I made some maps for Supreme Commander

Nice model and texture, for what mod ? polycount ?

The gun is a bit to bulcky to me. Specially the part between the buttstock and the barrel lacks
of detail and looks more like a skinned box.

Besides this I like it.
