update. No the nose is really good I think. Sometimes it just takes a mirror to know whats wrong.
Also i pushed some parts here and there for slight asymetry.

Edit: wasn't highest subdiv level

Stefan, The eyes aren't round they're a bit flat. Was that your intention?

*trying some modular building stuff, doesn't really fit the theme i was going for... but hey, not everybody's perfect

My internship at a local games company is going to start in a few days (Wohoo!)
So I try to get my feets wet in some normal mapping and stuff, even though I'm just going to do texturing stuff there, but I think it'd be clever to train a bit.

So here's the low poly mesh for a knife.. I want to start with something simple.



Just a Viewportshot...

I hope the handles looking way better, when I'm done with the normal map..

Insulaner, that's a pretty nice knife. I like the shape. I would be curious to hear what company you are in too

No definetively not. I just thaught it's so minimal nobody would see it anyway and fix that later in photoshop if i build a normal map out of this. But good point thank you. I have already started a new bust though...

Just normal maps, The displacement in UE3 gives random results so not every model suits it. It works for floors though

Stefan, great, don't worry about it if you already started a new one.

first subdivision model!!

trying to figure out how normals work... though i realize youre supposed to build the low poly first so it fits -.- plus gotta map it properly for it too.
