Greek Soldier wip

I guess some of you may have seen this already on game wips at CGtalk, but I thought I'd post it here to get some fresh ideas from you guys.

He has sat untextured for a while. Usually when I am modeling I work out a very clear picture of where to go with the texture, but I have no idea for this guy. I am still open to going back and making changes to this guy so C+Cs and suggestions for the texture are very welcome

The first render is of my first days progress and the second one is a final render

You cant really make it out from the renders I posted but he has large leather things around his forearms, thats why they look a bit chunky.....

hey Alchemist101!

looks very good to me. nice clean mesh and all. the only crit i can come up with, is i think his hands are a bit too big and maybe the arms too. wuold be nice to see a font view render.

That looks great! Nice proportitions and well defined shape. Any plans for this guy? Normal maps, rig, animation?

i need to learn things fast.. damn.

( can you make a big render for me, that way i can "studie" you're way of modeling, so i can improve mine. )

cheers guys

I still have to lay out UVs for this guy so once thats done I'll rig him and then start to get some textures on him

Any ideas on texturing for this guy??

AAh ok now i can see them better , very nice

I have an idea for texturing , hehe
Do it in the modern look, white armor and a bit futuristic, like those wariors of star wars, dont know what the name is

Just a suggestion ^^
