A few older sketches which I recently scanned, may as well post them up.

I have't done any animation or rigging for a little wile no so i thought it was about time some was done before I go about forgetting how its all done. So I made a nice little start on "Little Dude" the idea being he is just a little fun humioniod. Texturing wise he is most likly going to be block color other then the hat and socks. I want to have him ready and running around by my interview on the second of october! Not long.

He currently stands at around 2000 triangles, I didnt give my self a limit but I did want to stay on the 1500-2500 limit. He will not be going into any games, just a bit of fun really. I may well copy and past him into a scene so i have two interacting with one another.

Yep, I think the hands will but I think it will give me a chance to do some cool poses, dragged behind like a grumpy monkey

Interview is a Kuju in Brighton. I REALLY want this job bad, Brighton is a great place, nice town and hopfly can find a nice place with meh Misses down there. Thats the plan anyhow.

So I have near enough finished the texture now, other then a few seams I missed on the back of the head. I'm pretty chuffed with him so far but want to get him posed up tomorrow to see if he comes alive!

I took out a few triangles out of the belly button on jodys orders. She sent me a dead letter

I threw up the concept as well

he's looking pretty good stormy. the only question i have is the texture color on his back. it seems a little too dark compared to the rest of him, especially where it comes to a point at the top of his rump, it has pretty sharp/straight edges. is that going to be blended a bit more?

I'll try and blend it in a tad more, I think its from where I baked the AO map. Its quite a low triangle model so the lighting was coming off a little sharp in places. I think i may be able to smuge it out though!

I have been working on the rig a tad as well. I was thinking I might upload a zip file of this guy once he is rigged and weighted if anyone new to animation wanted to try some out.

i would make use of that stormy if you would be so kind I need to work on animations a bit. We are actually having a workshop at school here in a few weeks for animation, so any little bit would help.

I'll see how it turns out first, if he dosnt work to well there isnt to much point really but I'm hoping there wont be too many problems but you never know with aniamtion.

If im happy with him ill zip up the files and get him uploaded. I could also upload the unwrap if you want to re-texture.

i'd be happy with just the files for animating, since i do have some models already made that i should probably texture first, but it might be useful for others wanting to work on their texturing skills.
