i like the fact that you try to colorise the metal on areas that might be affected by some sort of oil
unfortunately it doesnt look very realistic and its on places that you wouldnt expect. Try to think of how the switches operate on that weapon and draw some scratches/oil on their paths Also on parts that usually need oiling if you really want to go into detail ![]() |

Looking nice so far.
![]() Only thing that bugs me is the transition from the metal part to the wooden stock. It's perfectly straight right now and needs some shadow and dust between it. (since there is a slight indent because of the two different materials meeting eachother dust will get in there) Keep it up! |

Yeah so far the start of the texture looks tasty, I agree that if you could get that greasy look that the ref has it would be freakin sweet. I am guessin you'd have to do some extra special specular work or something...can we see some more updates please?
