Hey man, its a good start but the hands are way too big for his arms it seems. Also, I wouldn't get into detailing too quickly - you want to block out everything and make sure you have correct proportion and gesture (the latter being very important, so your sculpt doesn't look lifeless or become a meat tube with no visual interest.) Its coming along though, keep going and post more wip's

Yeah good start!
Looks like the arms are on the short side. See where your hands are in the mirror. Skinny figures are a real challenge. If you make the joints a bit bigger and get the ribcount down there will be no stopping you ![]() The lower abdomen looks good. Cheers |

Hi man, right now your proportions are off and you should take a look at them before continuing (the reason why its important to do in the block in phase so you don't waste time having to recreate details.) For instance the legs are way too short, and the wrists should be on the same level as the crotch line when hands are by his sides.
Everything from the waist up looks passable now in terms of details, but the cloth on everything from the waist down doesn't really look like cloth - you have to get some really solid reference and work from that. Cloth in general is incredibly difficult to simulate well in sculpting so requires a lot of study. I hope you don't mind but I took the liberty of drawing up some quick annotated images of your model for critique. ![]() ...and to help illustrate incorrect proportions better, using the 8 head canon (excuse the shoddy paintover work ![]() ![]() Hope that helps and doesn't come across discouraging. You're off to quite a good start and the face itself has loads of personality. If there's anything confusing or you need some more advice just ask Keep it up! |

Not discouraging at all, Thank you
. This is really helpful. The type of pants I've been looking at are tricky ones that I've been having trouble with. Ik the crotch area does look low, but thats because the pants are suppose to be pretty baggy, and hang lower than the crotch area. The way I made the wrinkles doesn't really show it that well I agree. As for the rest of the anatomy tips, I'll get right on to fixing them ![]() |

Ooooooo, paintover. Biggest compliment you can get on a wip thread. You dont see too many these days. Gonna agree with Torch, very spot on crit man.
@ccox1 with the directions you are getting this will look pretty good in the end. You have some nice elements in there. Cheerio |
