Well it is coming along nicely, I do not like how the square pillars are just clones of one. I personally think it would look less repetitive had you modeled a few of them separately. The texture still looks kind of shiny/silvery. I don't know if you were planning on following the reference image as closely as possible but you will notice on the reference you posted the stone is dull and not quite so rough. As Doylle mentioned, the stone in the reference also has a yellowish/greenish hue from aging and whatnot. Keep at it I am interested to see how this turns out.

thanks

im just working in grey scale right now, I was having fun with it last night, worked on it for like 4 hours just painting the top part. I will put color into it when its all textured and modeled out. As soon as i get the top texture finished I will go back and make another brick column. Thanks for the advice.

I took the advice that i was giving, i went back and straighten the block column out and then I flipped it upside down and copied it and moved that to show different sides. I also widen it , and took the top half of it to use as part of the smaller block columns, Ive been doing alot of painting, almost all day, took time off to watch 24 anyway, its maybe half way there to being done. thanks for the help.

The empty white spots don't look nice, even though they are in the real thing, I'd consider not doing them in your model. OR ed least fix the texture of it so that it has some sort of concrete pattern and not this white stain. But that latest render looks very sweet. The top pillars are 10 times better textured then the bottom ones. I can only say this again, redo the bottom ones like you did the top ones

Wow talk about a facelift, that shaped up nicely didn't it? Some of the details, for example: The "Y" shaped dark spot on the lower pillars really stand out for me. Especially when you see it repeated numerous times on other pillars. My suggestion would be to make the said details not so visible or do away with some of them all together. But other than that congrats, it is looking really awesome.

Quality stuff, indeed! Some stretchings though. Especially the ground looks a little stretched/blurry to me. The spiky dark spot on the upper pillars will be quite repetitive and the dark areas on the side of the middle tier are fairly noticable (there are some stretchings also).
Good work!

That tree needs a lot of work. Everything else looks very good Look for tree bark textures, look at refs and see what's the difference between the 'body' of the tree and the roots. You started with something but you're not sure where you're going with this. Make a lot of small roots. Find a good ref of what you want to do there and try to recreate that as close as possible.
