Western Undertaker Diorama

Most if not all textures are final but I may have to re-texture the 'house' part of the building as the psd file is corrupt. It all depends on if I can recover it somehow.

There are no normal or spec maps yet but they will come soon. As this is part of my uni assignment, my lecturer keeps talking about it telling a story so I'm thinking of having a work bench at the back of the building with a coffin full of winchester rifles as if they are transporting weapons illegally.

After seeing an image of the scene, I've noticed that the whole thing is a bit too brown lol So I will probably change that.

Hope you guys like it!

Looks really good so far but as you mentiened it is very brown i would try adding abit more variation to the building textures as it all looks the very similar at the moment. Something like this would help break it all up a bit:

Model looks good but cant say a lot without seeing wire frames. Theres also quite a lot of empty space around the building you could add a few bushes or a cactus, just an idea.

Thanks for the reply. I've been playing about with post processing a bit but stilil not 100% happy with it. But I will definitely try out changing some colours see how it turns out Was trying to think what I could put around the building so I was also thinking of one of those classic 'spooky trees' the ones with just branches and no leafs but not entirely sure that would fit.

Will get some more images up soon when some changes have been made

Made some changes, added some cacti and changed the sign for a bit more colour variation, probably needs more though. Added normal and spec maps but they may need tweaking and I've also sorted out the browness, hopefully this is better!

Not a lot has changed with the western scene as I have been working on something else, which I will post images when it's more presentable

Only thing I've added is the day and night cycle, but the shadows are flickering like crazy, I've read up about it but most of it goes completely over my head so if anyone knows, it'll be a great help if you could point me in the right direction

Sorry that the video is a bit dark, that's YouTube's fault.

looks nice and clean but I think you could push it a bit more. specially wooden roof almost shouts to add more detail. You have planks texture already add there a bit more geometry to break it up.

apart from that very good work mate!
