Wonder Woman

This is a sculpt of wonder woman that I've been doing for a while and just managed to pick it up again.

Only planning on doing the sculpt but we'll see, but planning to pose it once I've finished.

EDIT: Just taken a look at the images and noticed the forearm muscels are maybe a bit too defined/creased, so ill fix that on my next update.

UPDATE:

Looks pretty good a few crits though.

The shoulder in the front and back look a little off especially in the front where the pectorals, deltoid and bicep meet. Muscle ref would help overall for most of the issues here. It almost looks as though the bicep and pectoral muscles are attached. The deltoid looks too small and the separation between the deltoid and bicep seems too wide and too large overall. The back of the forearm looks too bony, too defined you should smooth this out it looks as though the bone is sticking out of the forearm. The arms look a little too long as well. The knee area is incorrect there are three muscles that are near the top of the knee. For the muscles try and capture a sense of intersection or overlapping sharp creases pinched close together and since it’s a female the more subtle the better it seams too lumpy overall try smoothing down some of the sharper features mentioned. Good work and keep at it.

Yeah looking good and the costume is coming along nicely.
but i agree with what KMT80 said about the legs and the amount of definition going on.
I struggle with this too. But in the case with a female i think curvier smoother and more subtle musculature are the way to go. I prefer voluptuous women over someone like Madonna any day, i dunno about you?
Also the feet maybe a bit big too, and i thought that she would wear stiletto boots for a sexier look but i dunno thats just me.
Keep it up!

How are you making the costume just out of curiosity? zbrush extract?? or another way? I have tried zbrush extract with only satisfactory results. And lastly her expression is very sad, its something about the outer eye brow ridge

Cheers for the feed back, ill definetly check my anatomy. I'm working on it now so there should be an update soonish.
I'll tone down the muscels as well, not liking it either. I did that more because it wonder woman and trying to go for sexy but strong enough to lift a car.
The sad look I would say you are right it is down to the eyebrow ridge so ill take a look at it. And the bootsI think I can take down a size a bit as well. The stiletto boots, ill probably try a slightly higher heel but still give enough movement.

The Creating of the costume:
Sculpt the entier body to get all the form in
Then take it down to the 1st (sometime the 2nd, more likely to be needed when skin tight) subdivision and export an obj.
Then in your modelling program, create a duplicate.
I use a push modifer (softimage/XSI), abit like scaling it out (but this gives you thicker layer)
Roughly remove unwanted polygons (leave any near the edge, a bit like padding)
then add edges where you want to cut the clothing, clean up where you can (i try not to edit the geometry too much so it holds it shape and will fit round the body later)
then remove the unwanted edges
Extrude the edges into the body (some time you'll have to duplicate and connect them together if you can see both sides)
Add support edges (including on the bit you've extrduded into the body so when you subdivide they dont start creating gaps)
Then export back into ZBrush

Well i've been a little slow on the update but here is most of the adjustments that were suggested. I'm not entierly happy with the shoulders and the arm muscels so ill keep working on that.

Very good start.

My main crit would be that the shoulders are a bit high, the height the shoulders are currently at make her look really tense.

I would drop it down a bit to make her look a little more relaxed.

Good work!

there are a couple of other area's that may need some more attention they are almost ridges that could be filled out some.

The first area is where the stomach is, there are two ridges that run vertically down where the abdominal muscles are, this should be filled out more. Also the small of the back looks like there is a ridge close to the butt as well.

Another area is by the hips near the butt there is another ridge area that should be filled out or smoothed out some. I would recomend taking out the hair for now so we can see the shoulders. I do agree with Angy about the stiff look its hard to say but the deltiods may be too large hard to tell with the hair though. Keep at it.
