yeah I agree you'd want the sniper rifle to be lightweight so its easier to keep steady aim.

I'm no sniper, but a heavier sniper rifle can be more accurate than a lighter one due to lower recoil, and being less impacted by slight twitches of the sniper due to it's higher mass. What you might want to add is a bracing system, since it IS a heavier duty rifle.
