Looks really nice. I understand its sci fi, but I think you should simplify some elements to reduce its weight, I doubt sniper really needs finger defense bit next to trigger. if you know what you mean

yeah I agree you'd want the sniper rifle to be lightweight so its easier to keep steady aim.

I'm no sniper, but a heavier sniper rifle can be more accurate than a lighter one due to lower recoil, and being less impacted by slight twitches of the sniper due to it's higher mass. What you might want to add is a bracing system, since it IS a heavier duty rifle.

I agree. I like the heavy look to it, but perhaps a bipod would better balance it out?

Only crit I could mention is the pad in the middle of the butt end is concave while the rest of the pads are convex, which looks a bit off and stands out to me. This part would never be seen in-game, but it's a simple fix.

I also don't care for the material you chose to render in, but that's neither here nor there

I'll try to do lightweight version from the rifle and vs. pics after that. I started whole 3D stuff from zbrush so clay looking materials are for my personal taste =)

Thanks for replying !

I'm not a gun expert but I think it might be hard to look at the scope because its too low. I agree wtih polygoblin about the bipod.

btw love the model and I hope you finish this!
