Wow, loads of responses!
![]() @Scooba: Have added more polys to smooth the bends and divisions down the road. There was already a subtle raise in the middle but perhaps too subtle, so I've increased it a bit. Seems like a lot of polys just for some road but I guess it is kinda important for racing games. @Bek: Ah other useful tool I wasn't aware of! It ended up with much the same result my manual unwrap so it still had the same distortion but now I have more polys in the road hopefully the distortion will be reduced and this tool will save me some time.@RedAppleIvy: That's the method I used create the road, for some reason I hadn't considered using it for the chicane.

Fair enough
![]() I've put in a proper chicane texture now but I'm trying to get nice transitions. As you can see below I have a rough dirt texture I'm using but it looks a bit strange at the moment. It'll be fine for the grass/dirt areas but it's not working on the chicane/tarmac. ![]() It's a tricky one, I'm naturally trying to avoid loads of different versions of textures for things like road-dirt, road-tarmac, chicane-tarmac etc. Maybe one texture with all the transitions I need could be mapped to faces in between different textures?
