This will be perfect to generate your normals for a low poly version, it looks fantastic so far.

It just looks bad right now cos theres a lot of tris and smooth applied.
Paradox: There will be no lowpoly or normal map for this car. The poly limit will be around 50,000 tri and will be more than enough to get in all the detail I want without a normal map.

Ah, okies

I would dearly enjoy seeing a low poly game version though at some point if you decide to do that, I'll keep an eye out for that. I really like to see the magic people pull off with low poly models and normal maps, mostly because that's a talent I have yet to master and it always amazes me

Update. Polycount is a bit higher than I would have liked ( 42,713 tris ), but i'm not to worried about it. Any crits?

adjust your smoothing
right now it looks like you still have to apply the emshsmooth modifier.

Arrr thats a sweet ref wes! Do you have more hi res like that? I'll have to hit you up on msn if you do!

There aern't many real nice refs like that on the net for this car. I went for the wheels I modelled because I think they are the stock ones and I was going to keep it as original as possible.
Dennis: I throw on a smooth modifier and Auto Smooth whilst i'm modelling and I always forget to delete it when I get screenshots :/ I will fix that with smooth groups towards the end.
