Stone column
Hi all,
I wanted to share another project I've been working on (Haven't forgotten about my sci fi environment, will update that thread soon). I did most of the high poly modelling for this column a few years ago, and decided to convert it for use in realtime. Learnt a few valuable lessons about the limitations of normal maps but I'm quite pleased with the final result. Thanks everybody, C&C much appreciated. (Xoliul shader, diff, spec and normal maps, 3 lights) ![]() |

Looks really solid.
The one thing that i think would improve it would be the moss towards the edges is to straight as it going down and also at the edges it too thick. It just doesnt give the natural impression of growth. I do like the fact the moss appears to be just on the one side like you would see in real life
