Dead Space Flight-Lounge - UDK

Built from a piece of Dead Space concept art (courtesy of EA). 21,349 tris after instancing.

Any c+c would be greatly appreciated, especially on improving the lighting/post.

Here's the concept:

Needs more Peng.

I LOVE DEADSPACE. Well done!

Wider FOV on the viewport? might make a nicer shot.
also im always impressed with holographic stuff ingame so that screen is sexy

You have some nice detail in there! The screen is really awesome. Dose it animate?

Lol, I forgot about the peng, but I'll be adding more trash soon, so maybe some peng flyers?

Anyways, I've added more z-depth, improved the fog/lighting, blah blah.

Because I've stupidly posted image links from my portfolio, I've managed to overwrite the old shots, so heres a final render comparison if anyones interested:

NEW:

And the screens static. My portfolios only straight screenshots, and I'm too lazy to put the effort in animating it.

It might just be my personal preference but I think that increasing the contrast and saturation would help make the lights stand out, the light and mist in the room seems a little white and overblown at the minute.

I'd personally have a bit of a faff with the post processing inside the udk to try and make those lovely orange displays 'pop' a bit more

It's a really nice scene, I love Dead Space anyway but its nice to see someone elses take.

Looks excellent imho, captured the atmosphere from the concept almost exactly, there are only a couple things I would look at / change in it. The scratches on the overhead beam just wouldn't happen in real life, if it was a warehouse I could almost see it happening but in a lounge I just don't think there would be that much wear and tear. And the beam curve seems to come down allot lower on the UDK shot than the concept itself with the console on the wall looking a touch different as well than the concept. But artistic license and all that means it still looks correct I think.

Id move the camera back where it was. maybe add some lights off screen behind the camera to highlight the logos on the side panels that are at each side of the screen
