Watchmen's Rorschach WIP
Hi guys, trying to make a pretty low poly mesh in 3ds and detail it in Zbrush while learning the program. My first organic character in a year besides a few very basic heads before that so this should be very big learning experience. Please C/C.

The plan is to take it in Zbrush for a while learn the program and make it really detailed, and then bring it back to 3ds for the other small details like buttons, a scene maybe IDK and rendering. Perhaps then I can take those details back into Zb with my new-found knowledge of the program, but right now my goal is just a simplistic but still enough detail to give me a challenge in Max then learn ZB.

Hey Xkobe, nice model you got there
![]() But you got some small in accuracies on the model, the way the front of the jacket folds 2getter is wrong, the shoulders are a bit to rounded and the length of the arms, legs and jacket seem to be off. Added a photo to make things a bit more easy ![]() ![]() *hm looks like I'm to late with help * |

You're not late Cijz, thanks a lot for the paintover. Belt and proportions might still be off I'll look again tomorrow with a fresh eye but I think I fixed them.
Added a loop for the knees and elbows but I'm not sure if that's enough..If there aren't any large faults I will begin sculpting tomorrow. Please C/C and thanks for the replies ![]() ![]() Oh I have a question.. I have no idea how the workflow is supposed to be so say I wanted to pose him, would I do that before I go into Zbrush and then sculpt while he's in the pose (so the wrinkles and folds on the clothes/accessories can be made correctly?) or finish it first then go into texturing/posing? |

Been playing around for the last few days trying to learn Zbrush. I think I've learned the basics and I'll begin properly sculpting the whole thing tomorrow. This was my latest result for my not-really-thinking about why the folds are happening and the pose etc just practicing to see how I will make what I need tomorrow.
![]() The shoe is a little rough but I think the right pant leg is tolerable, what do you guys think? |
