Pretty much re-worked the entire coat, still not great but I think the base mesh is done for now. I'll ZB all of this and then see where I go with the scarf and other details, I might want to change some stuff up a bit from the original concept.



What do you guys suggest, an alley scene like in the first post or something like this: http://roarb.files.wordpress.com/200...med-poster.jpg ?

And one more question that's a bit more important.. The hands, they look more like hands than gloves... You can't Really see it in this picture but anyways is the difference between a hand and a glove established in zbrush where you sculpt seems and folds or did I do something wrong with the base mesh (too curvy?)

The coat does look much better in my opinion, but for sculpting its probably not drastic may just mean you need to subdived a few more times, but the bottom of the coat could do with a few more edge loops, basically even out the spacing compared to the top.
Oh and the shoulder are a bit curved but you can fix that in ZBrush
But looking good keep it up

Finally figured out my problems with creating folds using the flatten brush. Just a quick test here, really just trying to learn all the zbrush brushes and all that until the base mesh is said to be fine by everyone. I don't wanna start sculpting to the point of no return and then someone tells me I made some bad mistake on the base.

Some slight fixes to the pose left perhaps but in any case the base mesh is nearing completion... Still practicing quick sculpts in Zbrush, if no one has any comments on the base topology or whatever tomorrow will be the day I finally begin the sculpting and not just playing around with brushes (like 4th time I said that, shh). Thanks for those who have followed me thus far.. PS: Whats with the white box around the hands? No idea why it's there, no idea how to make it go away.

Still looks horrible but I might as well update the thread. I've been working on it every day, just no updates till this point because I've deleting everything. I think I have the hat looking alright and the gloves are missing Something, anatomy wise I think, I'll keep trying.. Any comments would be swell =D

Glove still sucks, worked on the other parts ... Something about the glove from the front view is just destroying me but I don't know what. Maybe fresh eyes tomorrow will help..

It looks like an infants hand grafted onto an adults body, it needs to be bigger
