Looks great! Awesome stuff arthurduque.

The normal map is working wonderfully, the model is deceptively low poly.

I think you could spend a few more polygons on the protruding points on his shell, and the form of his sash. Aside from that, it's looking swell.

Everything looks SWEET!

Only thing that bugs me is that the character looks like a tortoise (to me), which should be much more brown, and less green.

I'm not saying the texture looks bad or anything. I just think a bit less saturation in your greens and more earth tones would add volumes to your character's appearance, and make him appear less aquatic.

You may be able to mess with just the color curves to get what I'm talking about.

Nonetheless, TERRIFIC JOB and good luck in the competition

Just noticed this thread, wow really nice work! It reminds me of a cross between a teenage mutant ninja turtle and one of their enemies that I can't for the life of me remember the name of, there were two of them and one was a terrapin or something?

There was a guy, on CgTalk I think it was, that pretty much did all the Ninja Turtles in a style close to this, years ago.

Should see if you can find them.

Looks good though.
