Wim, i think your colors are good. they could improve if you add a bit more spectrum to it.
it dosen't matter if you want to depict warm or cold moods, try to go a wilder range, and rememer that colour is blending mixing in every surface.
this could be of some help, the best light/colour teaching i've ever seen:
Practical Light and Color
worth every penny.

Its not finished yet but I know where to go. Hope you like it so far. In the end of the time I allways like to make an extreem of the drawing, which looks sometimes better than the original. Just because there is more expression.

This is a drawing that my brother made, and I colored around 3 years ago. Coloring is bad I know, but my brother did a great job on the drawing.
