The idea is that he's pulling it aside to reveal his spooky face, but now that you mention it I can see what you mean, it's just kind of floating in space off to the side.
I definitely will continue developing the idea, though. I'm glad I posted the old image here, it wouldn't have popped back into my brain today otherwise. |

right here is a simple as hell tip but follow it and it will umpact your drawing everytime you draw A curve.
For instance the rings on the tenticals. At the moment then look flat and as such the tenticals look a tad flat. When you pencil your sketch draw through the image. Draw the complete circle going all the way aroung the tentical as if the tentical was made of glass. By doing this you can see if the circle looks correct in perspective. The result it is actually looks like the curve is going around the back of the tentical (or any rounded object for that matter) rather then just over it. Something you should do with any drawing is actively look for the excuse to make it look 3D. Be that a shift in perspective, scale or a trick like I just mentioned. It's a nice sketch. keep working mate. good stuff. |

howdy ,
i'm currently working on some kind of "gangster"-cop , i'm trying to get that look as if he just got his ballistic vest and balaklava over his civil clothes on , to take part in some razzia . the film "training day" somehow inspired me , i hope that i'm not doing something that has already been done before ... i will keep on drawing some sketches until im sure how he's gonna look . i'm also planning to make a next-gen model of him , and i already have some pictures in my head how his female team mate's gonna look like . so expect something like a small team of individual DEA-officers . i used ps7 and a wacom bamboo for this , and , IMHO , the drawings turned out pretty good regarding the fact that ive never drew any humans before ... however i'm open for C&C of course regards , max |
