I like the concept. The shadows and highlights are very rough, but one can see what you mean.

But unfortunatly your perspective is all messed up. I made a quick paintover to show you...

To create the illusion of depth all the lines must connect, away from your position. If you look at the red lines, they will connect near you, which creates a distored image. If you look at the green lines you will see that they connect somewere far away from your position, which creates the illusion of being a rectangular plane. A good trick to check your prespective is to turn you canvas 180°.
I have been drawing boxes, hallways, an cubic volumes for 5 months at school, just to figure out perspective. This is the absolute keystone of a good image...

i hope this can help you in future drawings...

cool truck concept, all tough i would just block it out in 3D and build on that 3D concept. I did the same thing when I did the Duel truck. Here is the 1st image I could find from it, and the final image, as you'll see the main shape stayed the same throughout the whole project.

You can always use the blocked 3D render as a concept and paint over the colors, this way the perspective will always be accurate.
Are you planning normal maps for this? And at what triangle count are you aiming for?

wesley's idea sounds good.
also you might want to make the block in the middle thats sticking out a bit lower.
