[request] Your best concrete texture tutorial
I must have tried 10 different concrete tutorials by now. Some more complex than others, but they never end up looking all that good/like concrete.
I've noticed time and time again that some of the texturing pros here at the site seem to know their way around creating concrete textures. So if someone would be so kind to share some secrets of concrete, I'd be happy to hear them. Maybe its a special combination with the specular map that I've just overlooked thus far?

Um, how about just getting a photo of concrete from CGtextures.com and you're like all set, only thing you need to do is fix it up/add details. Aslong as it looks like concrete in the maps, it should be alright
![]() As for specular, not too shiny, obviously. And nomrla,s not too bumpy, would look terribly odd, as that's not the kind of surface concrete would normally have, unless broken. Cheers!
