i think i know why it has some bluish tint. it is because of the default sky color in the skylight setting. it is not really noticeable at first glance but if u double click the sky color and open the color window, u could see that it is indeed a little bit bluish.
just change it to pure white and u should be ok. |

i'd like to add that, depending on your texture and art style, you could also change the white output of the AO map to half (image>adjustments>levels>255 => 128) and apply it as an overlay.
This way your texture gets a bit more saturated in the shadow areas and gives it a "possible" interesting look. |
