Great thread. Will help me in the future.

Half Life Storm is a good one for Source(Hammer) tutorials.

I don't think there are any free tutorials about that.
Mainly because it is a whole study that you need to do same as with anatomy.

I suggest Jeremy Birns lighting in maya as a great start.

Think this is what you are looking for, could be wrong. Obviously it does not cover everything but is an interesting read.

Mirrored normal map seam fix/tip/trick/guide/tutorial

Here guys I made this because I had mirroed some objects on one of my models and it had ugly mirroed seams so I hope this helps some of you guys/gals out, please post your comments about it if it worked or failed for you so I can perfect if it needs perfecting.

I am also contimplating some more guides in hopes of fixing all the frustrations we "game artists" have with our current processes. Or this was a one time thing who knows
Enjoy!

warby's is better. check first post. mirror seams.

The link to: http://www.game-artist.net/forums/#%...t/tutorial.php
is not opening the tutorial page. This is under the Hammer (source) section. Please check.

The link to 3ds Max viewport shader is broken.

Color vertex illumination with 3D max

Greetings to all ... I have a query to do:

I have to make a set for a video game and have asked me to illuminate my scene, use the technique of vertex lighting. Not know how the technique works.
Someone can tell me where to find some totorial about it?

Thank you very much at all (sorry my English).
