A quick lighting question

I am very new to 3Ds Max still, so just a quick starter question.

I am going to be modelling a BMW, and I have put up one of my reference images. Unfortunately, the side I need to use is always dark. How can I make it lit on both sides?

This is 3Ds Max 9, if it makes a difference.

Thanks,

Farland

Two things you can do. Copy the plane, and turn it 180°, or give the material you use for the reference image 100% Self illumination. The latter works best imo, because you'll also eliminate all the shading that you would get when you look at different angles...

btw, in my previous post, the turn 180° isn't going to work, you'd have to mirror it to get it right...
